Five Weeks to Forearm Stands!

Five sessions: 4, 11, 18, 25 November and 2 December 6.15 - 7.30pm

Turn yourself upside down and all the bad thoughts will fall out of your head! Maybe not, but inversions do hold benefits like improving upper body mobility and strength, improving circulation and body awareness. Pincha mayurasana, or forearm stand, is a real full-body posture, and working towards it will mean improving your flexibility and stability in hamstrings, hip flexors, shoulders, upper back and core muscles.

Five Weeks to Wheel!

Five sessions: 4, 11, 18, 25 November and 2 December 6.15 - 7.30pm

Full body backbends such as wheel are some of the 'scariest' postures for vinyasa yoga students, but they also have incredible benefits, especially as we get older. Backbends can prevent kyphosis, back pain, and loss of bone mass & osteoporosis. They're also one of the only postures that stretches almost everything from your toes to your fingers - making you feel amazing!

Come and have some Christmas fun in this upside-down focused workshop! Playing in shapes upside down, be it in handstand, forearmstand, headstand or shoulderstand, improves proprioception, balance, body awareness and core and upper body strength. It's also just loads of fun (and let's face it, December's the perfect time to pick up new party tricks)!

Stable Shoulders

Shoulder mobility and stability is something that helps a lot in a yoga asana practice - or in daily life! - but we rarely have the time in classes to really delve deep and understand the full range of motion and engagement here. In this workshop we'll methodically break down shoulder positioning in a range of poses: both arms overhead, like in downward dog, and arms by side or hands on the floor as in a cobra or upward dog.

Our venue in the Greek Island of Kefalonia is a beautiful space that we went to view in May 2023. It’s a place to stop, step back and recharge. Set within olive groves and with magnificent views of the majestic Mount Aenos and the Ionian sea, simply savouring the surroundings is meditation in and of itself.

“Thank you for teaching me backbends properly! The way you explains it all has been so fantastic, I’ve learned more from you in 3 days than in 20 years with other teachers”
